Mixing
Mixing is the blending of inks, or the dilution of an ink, to obtain a shade or gradation different from the original. Some manufacturers provide guidance on compatibility between their own products.
Why it matters: It is useful to know whether an ink is meant to be mixed and with which products. The manufacturer's guidance should be followed: mixes across brands are not always intended.
